System Administrator

The primary focus of the role is to work with our team of talented technologists to maintain, configure, and operate computer systems and servers. Actively participate in research and development to continuously improve and keep up with the IT business needs of their organization. Should be able to diagnose and resolve problems quickly and also communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

How you’ll contribute

  • Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and providing support for end-user issues & requests related to systems & applications
  • Research & recommend innovative solutions and where possible implement automated approaches for system administration tasks
  • Perform or delegate regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues


What we’re looking for

  • Over six years of experience in systems administration, networking, security and/or system backups
  • A clear understanding of networking & Infrastructure
  • Deep knowledge of Linux internals, network architecture & network protocols
  • Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl, Bash or other languages
  • Be fully familiar with Git, Docker, Linux
  • Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
  • Understanding of monitoring, alerting, logging frameworks
  • Efficient in troubleshooting & fixing various production & performance issues in Development, Testing, Staging & Production environments
  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategy and plans

Bonus points if you have

  • Working experience in US Healthcare IT setup dealing with on-prem deployments
  • Familiarity with SDLC best practices
  • Good understanding of SQL/NOSQL databases
